- into it. Run the RCDEMO10.EXE file, and specify the -d switch to
- create sub-folders. Therefore, you would type
-
- RCDEMO10 -d
-
- NOTE : The -d switch is very important!!

- 2. Playing Rally Challenge
-
-
- There are two ways to start Rally Challenge :
-
- 1). Use the shortcut created by the setup program :
- START/SILVER LIGHTNING SOFTWARE/Rally Challenge DEMO
-
- 2) From a command prompt, change into the directory Rally Challenge was
- installed in, and type
-
- RALLY95<CR>
-
- After the title screen has been displayed, you will see the main menu.
-
- From here, you can start a race, or set option, such as graphics detail
- and music/sound volume.
-
- Starting a race :
-
- - Select the RACE option.
- - Select either Quick Race or Arcade.
- - Press enter at the Car selection screen. The only car available in this
- demo is the Toyota Celica GT4
- - Select Automatic or Manual transmission.
- - At the track selection screen, you may optionally alter you car setup
- in the service area. When you are ready to race, highlight the Race
- button, and press ecnter.
-
- The loading screen will apprear, and the race will begin.
-
- It is recommended that you use the Automatic gear change option until
- you are familiar with the car controls.
-
- If you select the Quick Race option, your car will sustain damage if you
- drive recklessly and crash into things. This will affect your cars
- performance. In Arcade mode your car is made from Virtual Rubber(TM), and
- therefore doesn't sustain damage.
-
- Camera Mode :
-
- There are three camera modes for external view. They are fixed tracking,
- free tracking and bumper view. Fixed tracking follows the path of the track
- free tracking follows the car. The best way to see the difference is to try
- both. Free tracking is the default. Use F3 to change camera mode and F2 for
- internal car view.

-
- Fuel :
-
- When in an external camera mode, the fuel gauge is located next to the gear
- indicator in the bottom right corner.
-
- Brake Bias :
-
- Brake bias affects the amount of braking the front and rear brakes do
